"Jesus...gave his charge: "God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age."Matthew 28:18-20 (The Message)
Being a disciple of Jesus Christ is about multiplying yourself into the lives of other believers. As people form relationships with others and develop community, it is critical for these groups to begin looking at how they can multiply themselves.
Multiplication can happen a number of different ways. Sometimes groups choose to divide into smaller groups. Sometimes one or two may leave a group to begin another group. New ministries are initiated as believers step out and begin forming new relationships and developing new communities of people.
The most important part of multiplication is when people realize that they have been called to "GO OUT". It is critical for believers to develop a mindset of being outwardly focused. Groups who choose to remain inwardly focused soon wither and fade away.
