A new family has been attending Oakwood over the past few weeks.  Since the beginning of October, the Escobar Family has been meeting on Sunday afternoons and praying for the Lord to open up the doors for them to begin a Latino service here in Glen Burnie.  On October 25th, thirteen people met for the initial service.  Please be in prayer for this new ministry and if you or someone you know speaks Spanish, please come out and join the Escobars in worship!

On Sunday November 15th, 
Oakwood will be beginning a new service geared towards those with special needs and their families.  The various elements of the service will be developed specifically to minister to families who may feel uncomfortable in a traditional and formal worship setting due to a family member's special needs.  The informal and interactive service 
will contain lots of music, puppets, and a short teaching designed to engage everyone.
